This is the post where I think about this new era of technology, the one where I am counting on my boy Cody to download songs onto discs for me, or for Cheryl to show me over and over how to delete pictures from our digital camera.

I’ve resigned myself, prematurely, to being the opposite of a technogeek. An all-thumbs Luddite, but that’s not who I could be. I don’t see myself as a whiz at this, but at the same time, I can learn it. It’s so darn user friendly these days, idiot-proof as they said back in the 1900s. So, I’ll keep trying.

It all started with the typewriter that Yayia gave me for my graduation from junior high. Yayia only finished six years of school, so finishing junior high was a big deal. That, and the training I got from Mr. Santos in the typing lab at East Jr. High, enabling me to use the technology at a pace where I could do something with it.

My first post, I think. I’m typing in a little blognation to see if this works. Should I go on? What’s on your mind, Mr. Edgewise229? I’m a little confused, one of those people who play a new game without really listening (or comprehending) the spoken instructions. Instead, I’ll work through it and see if it does work.
